“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV)
Today, I want to remind you of the fact that God has a pathway for everyone and it is revealed only from the standpoint of the word of God. Don’t write yourself off thinking that you are a failure and useless to the Kingdom of God. Yes, you may have fallen, but don’t stay on the floor, get up and match on. Don’t pitch a tent around your error; grace is available to you. The Bible tells us that Abraham, the father of faith, lied about his wife that she was his sister; yet God called him His friend. Peter too, as anointed as he was had a challenge with anger, remember how he cut the ear of Marcus in the presence of Jesus. Moses too was so angry that he smote the rock, broke the 10 commandments and yet God said he is the meekest on the earth. The Bible is full of examples for us to see, of people who in spite of their anointing had weaknesses. So why do you think you are the only one with those weaknesses? No, God knows you will encounter such somewhere along the way so He has left us with clouds of witnesses and you are not alone. So be encouraged.
This is not a licence to sin, but to encourage you to get up, dust yourself and move on. God loves you, His thoughts towards you are thoughts of good and not evil to give you an expected end, a hope and a future. No mater how low you are today, if you look through the scriptures you will see people who were lower. No matter the sin that so easily besets you, there is grace to get up and walk away from it. Don’t give up, don’t give in, look at the men and women of God who have walked this road before and be encouraged. If they made it, you will make it.
Finally, child of God remember that there is no temptation that has come upon you that is uncommon, meaning that God is aware of it and this too shall pass away. God will not allow it end your life. Remember the scriptures say that God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tried beyond your elasticity and He will also make a way of escape for you. May you always locate your way of escape. Just as they could not hold Jesus down, they will not be able to hold you. The snare is broken and you will escape them in Jesus name.
