I Will Not Leave You As Orphans, I Will Come To You. Are You Waiting For The Promises Of God To Come True In Your Life And It Seems To Be Taking Forever?

I Will Not Leave You As Orphans, I Will Come To You. Are You Waiting For The Promises Of God To Come True In Your Life And It Seems To Be Taking Forever?

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
John 14:18

How the disciples must have clung to what Jesus had told them.

There they were, their leader gone, most of their comrades gone too. They’d been given instructions to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father.

The disciples must have been apprehensive, yet they waited. Is that where you are right now? Are you waiting for the promises of God to come true in your life and it seems to be taking forever?

Don’t fear. He’s about to make you a sign and a wonder. He’s about to pour out His Spirit into your life that will make everything you’ve experienced until now fade away. Your heart may be broken, but if you’ll just hold onto His promise, He’s going to show up in a mighty manifestation of His glory with a miracle for you.

Know that you’re not alone. Through the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit given during Pentecost, you’re never alone. On that Pentecost day, the disciples who’d been waiting alone in the city felt the power and the anointing in their lives as the Holy Spirit came down upon them.

Their lives were never the same after that. Those who wait on the Lord will be filled with His Spirit!
