I Chronicles 29: 1-9

In today’s passage what made the people rejoice in verse 9? The people of David’s time had offered their resources willingly towards the building of the Lord. God loves a cheerful heart. An age-long saying says that when there is a will, there will be a way. The heart of a man is the powerhouse. The Holy writ opined thus: Guard your heart for in it comes the issues of life.

Are we serving God with a willing heart? Some Christians are begged by their Pastors to come on Saturdays to clean the church. Do we pay our tithes and offering with willing hearts? Are we not being compelled to attend Bible Studies and other means of grace?

God is looking for Christians who will support the work of the temple with willing hearts. May you receive grace to serve God with willing hearts. King David had set his affection on the house of God hence he gave out specials of gold and silver for its furnishings. What are you doing to beautify your church? Desire to have a willing heart today.

Apostle Paul while addressing the church at Corinth declared thus: for I know your willingness about which I boast of you in the grace of giving (2 Corinthians. 9: 2). Nehemiah was able to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem because his men had willing hearts. You can do great things for God if you have a willing heart.

Lord, grant me the grace to serve with a willing heart. Amen.
