Arise shine

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.

Your mercies never come to an end;

they are new every morning,

new every morning:

great is your faithfulness,

O Lord,

great is your faithfulness!

1. You, Lord, are my portion, says my soul;
therefore I will hope in you.

(Refrain)

2. You, Lord, are good to those who wait for you,
to the soul that seeks you;
it is good that we should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.

(Refrain)

3. The Lord will not cast off forever,
but will have compassion;
for God does not willingly
afflict or grieve the righteous ones.

(Refrain)

4. So let us examine all our ways,
and return to the Lord;
let us lift up our hearts and
hands to God in heaven.

(Refrain)

Awesome God, we worship you for your Faithfulness and your Mightiness. Be thou glorified and honoured. Lord take all the Glory for yet another breaking of the day.

Let us worship our Maker more than ever before. He is worthy to be praised and to be exalted. He alone deserves all our praises.

Daddy we ask for your divine mercy upon each and every one of us as individuals, as a church and as a Nation, Lord Jesus teach us your word this morning and torch us anew in Jesus name.

IF MY PEOPLE WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES AND PRAY* 2 Chronicles 7: 13 – 14

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;_

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land._

Good morning everyone, I hope we are all resting and maximising the holiday given by the Most High. A lot of us needed to wind down because we were all on the fast lane speeding so much but the Awesome God showed His mightiness by giving each and everyone of us holiday so as to take stock and review our lives as written in the book of Is 1:18

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, ”
Our Text for today is God’s promise that those who turn from their sins; call on Him and walk in His ways will experience a revival of the presence and blessing of the Lord

Nehemiah was in the same shoes sometimes ago but he cried unto God without pointing accusing fingers in Nehemiah 1: 4 – 6

When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said:
“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you.

In our text of today, 4 different points are mentioned and they are as follows:

If we will humble ourselves

Pray

Seeking His face

Turn from our wicked ways

Pride has taken over the world in so many ways, people talking about themselves rather than giving the glory to God, shedding innocent blood, intense desire to be noticed, not been thankful enough, bragging and showing off and so many other signs.

The Lord has shown His love to you and I by asking us to take a U – Turn and confess our sins, humble ourselves.

He wants us to pray fervently without ceasing. The bible says the prayer of the righteous availeth much. James 5:16. My brothers and sisters, let us pray more and more – the Lord will strengthen us in Jesus name. At this Covid – 19 period let us keep on fasting and praying for the divine mercy of God.

Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you

As God’s people, we are to “seek His face”. This little phrase is a call for God’s people to stop looking for help and purpose in every other thing in life. We are called upon to make God our primary focus and our first priority.

He wants us to love Him for Who He is! The essence of genuine revival is falling in love with Jesus all over again, Rev. 2:1-7. Seeking Him will bring revival to His church, James 4:8; Isa. 55:6.

The Lord God Almighty will help us in Jesus name!

Prayer:
1. Father, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear our prayers before you today for the whole World in Jesus name.

2. Father we have all sinned and come short of your glory, have mercy on us O’Lord.

3. Have mercy on all our leaders in Jesus name.

4. Daddy protect all our love ones wherever they may be in Jesus name.

Thank you
