THE MESSAGE
TEXT – GENESIS CHAPTER 2 VERSE 7
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”

The breath of God is full of wonders.
Man can do without clothes for years.
Nebuchadnezzar didn’t wear any clothes for seven years.
Man can do without food for weeks.
Man can do without water for days.
Man can only do without breath for minutes.

Psalm 150:6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.
In Genesis 2:7, the Bible says He breathed on dust and it became something of eternal value.
He breathed on dust and lt became a living soul.

HOW VALUABLE IS A LIVING SOUL?
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
A single soul is worth more than all the wealth in the world.

God breathed on ordinary soil, something that is of no value and suddenly, it became something of eternal value.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 When that breath leaves a man, he will suddenly discover that he is an ordinary dust.

It doesn’t matter how glorious somebody may think he is, it is because he is still breathing. The moment he stops breathing, the end has come.
John 15:5 Without God, you can do nothing,
If He takes away your breath, you will become nothing.

1 Samuel 16:11-13 It was because He breathed on David, suddenly, the shepherd boy became someone of eternal value.
Mark 10:46-52.
2 Samuel 22:33-36 God is my strength and power, He is the one who taught my hands to fight.
He concluded by saying, Your gentleness has made me great.
PRAYER POINT ONE:
Father, I’m nothing now, please, breathe on me and turn me to something of eternal value.

2.When someone is out of strength, we always say the fellow is out of breath.
1 Samuel 30:1-4.
When God breathes on someone who is out of breath, the fellow becomes revived, encouraged and strengthened again to keep going.
When you are not just tired but weary, when you are completely down and when you don’t even know how you can possibly continue, you should pray, God, breathe on me.

When He breathes on someone who is out of breath, that person will become encouraged and energised to continue the journey.
1 Samuel 30:6-8. God breathed on David and he said, i will encourage myself in the Lord.
1 Kings 19:1-8 God breathed on Elijah.
Is there anyone listening to me and you are about to throw up your hands and say there is no hope, i can’t continue, i think i better end it all.
No, don’t do so.
What you should do is pray that God should breathe on you again.
PRAYER POINT TWO:
Father, breathe on me, revive me and encourage me.
God of wonders, breathe on me again, revive me so I can continue on this journey strengthened and encouraged.

  1. It is God’s breath that sustains us.
When the breath is gone, the fellow is dead.
When some is dead, we have the saying that the fellow has given up the ghost.
    Ghost stands for the spirit.
The breath of God is the spirit that keeps you going and sustains you.
    Genesis 25:8.
When the breath returns to someone who is dead, we have resurrection.
1 Kings 17:19-24, when Elijah cried unto God for the son of the widow of Zarephath, the soul of the boy returned and he came back to life.

When God breathes on the dead, death changes to sleep and it takes only one word for the one who is sleeping to wake up.
Mark 5:35-43.
Is there anything in your life that is dead? your business, project and something precious to you. If you cry to God today that He should breath on you again, every good thing that was dead will come back to life.

PRAYER POINT THREE:
Father, please, breathe on me again so that my dead part, project, ambition and purpose will resurrect.

4.It takes the breath of God to reverse the irreversible.
Ezekiel 37:1-10, The story of the valley of dry bones.
The Almighty God breathed on dry bones and they became a mighty strong army.
It takes the breath of God to reverse the irreversible.
It takes the strength of God to shout.
John 11:34-35.
It takes the breath of God to convert the inconvertible; to change someone to someone extremely different.
Matthew 3:17.
Luke 9:51-56.
1 John 4:7-8.
Do you have a member of your family that you consider his case completely hopeless? Someone you think the devil has won completely. Why don’t you pray that God should breathe on such a fellow?
PRAYER POINT FOUR:
Father, please, breathe on me and my family, (if there is someone in the family that you want to include his/her name, mention the name of the fellow) and reverse the irreversible for us.

5.His breath makes a way where there is none before.
Exodus 14:21-28.
Exodus 15:8 His breath can freeze water.
Exodus 15:9-10.
When you ask God to breath on you, it is not just to make a way for you where there was none before even though that one is very important.
What happened at the Red Sea was to make the victory; the deliverance of the children of Israel permanent.
When God breathes on you, it can be to make a way where there was no way before and it can be to make your victory permanent.
PRAYER POINT FIVE:
Breathe on me Oh God, make a way for me where there was no way before and make my victory permanent.

6.God’s breath gives divine power to the person He has breathed upon.
John 20:21-23.
Acts 1:8.
Acts 2:1-4.
When He breathes on you, suddenly, the power to fulfil your destiny become released.
Luke 5:1-11.
Acts 2:41.
PRAYER POINT FIVE:
Father, please, breath on me and empower me to fulfil my destiny.

SURRENDER TO JESUS.
For those of you who are yet to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, let me remind you, you owe your very breath to the Almighty God. That you are still breathing today is at His pleasure. He can recall your breath at any time because He gave it to you. If you think you are a big man/ woman, there is nobody like you, just remember, the moment the breath leaves your body, you become ordinary dust.
Before He withdraws the breath He gave you, surrender to Him now.

2 Corinthians 6:2 Today is the day of salvation, why? Because, tomorrow might be too late.
You are still breathing my brothers and sisters, take this opportunity and surrender your life to Jesus Christ.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION.
Jesus Christ, please, save my soul before the breath comes out of my body, before I become ordinary dust again, save my soul so I can begin to live my life for you.
Bow your head and call on Him for salvation.
Those of you who are saved, kindly, intercede for those who are surrendering their lives to Jesus.
Pray that the One who saved your soul will save their souls before it is too late.
Father Almighty, we want to bless Your name; we want to give You all glory and honour for the word that has gone forth again today, we thank You for keeping all of us alive to hear this message and we are crying to You for all those who are surrendering their lives to You today, thank You for keeping them alive till this moment. Now, as they are crying unto You for salvation, please Father, save their souls, forgive all their sins, write their names in the Book of life and let them spend the rest of their lives serving You, thank You my Father and my God.

CLOSING PRAYER
Lord God Almighty, all Your children who will be crying to You today asking You to breath on them, Father please, breathe on us all. We are nothing without You, if You breathe on us, we will become something of eternal value, breathe on us Oh Lord.
Some of us are tired, some of us are almost giving up, Father, breathe on us and revive us.
Some of us who are almost a living corpse; so many parts of our body are already dead and the Doctors said there is nothing they can do about it, but if You breathe on us Lord, we will resurrect, Father, breathe on us.
Every project that is dead, breath on them all.
Every ambition that is dead, breath on them all.
My Father and my God, You are the only One who can reverse the irreversible, if You breathe on us, the irreversible in all our lives will be reversed, Father, please, breathe on us.
If You breathe on us Lord there will be a way where there was no way before and our victory will be complete, Father, please, breathe on us.
If You breathe on us, we will be empowered to fulfil our destinies, Father, please, breathe on us, answer all our prayers and we will give You all the glory, in Jesus’ mighty name we have prayed.
Amen!
Praise the Lord.
Hallelujah!
